Success Stories From Our Clients
“Our sweet Lucy (Cockapoo) was proving to be quite a difficult pup to train. Katie was incredibly helpful, patient, and kind. We took advantage of the in-home training and it was worth EVERY PENNY! Lucy came home a changed pup! She knew every command so well and Katie provided us with step-by-step instructions on how to keep up the training. We were amazed at the foundations that were set in a mere two weeks and are so grateful for Katie’s hard work and love. We have also had our girl stay with Katie for boarding. I would highly recommend Katie and her services!”
“Before hiring the Dog Wizard, I didn’t even want to take our >1yo lab out potty. I hated being pulled around the yard and feeling like I had no control. He would bark at anyone passing by and I was always fearful of him biting someone. It got to the point I was afraid he would bite me. That’s when we hired Katie. Sweet, kind, caring, Katie! Since graduating from training, I am 100% more comfortable and confident not only taking my jack out potty but walking him outside any time of the day 30-60 minutes at a time and even taking him to stores! Wow! I would never have tried this without the constant encouragement from Katie. Be assured, the Dog Wizard is more than an 8week course that kicks you to the curb when finished and couldn’t care less if the training stuck. Katie worked with jack and myself for MONTHS dealing with issues that came up throughout our training. She continued to have me make appointments until our issues were addressed and Jack was on track. I am so grateful for her patience and care. If you’re struggling with your dog, feeling out of control. Hire Katie; you will not be disappointed”
We had an awesome experience with Katie training our two Labradoodle’s, Ellie Mae & Coco. Katie was very attentive to their separate issues and what we wanted her to work on with each of them. It was hard for me to let them go for two whole weeks but Katie’s constant videos and pictures she posted of their progress helped me a lot to know that they were having fun and being taken care of. She also called to update me 2-3 times a week. Coco worked on her social anxiety around other dogs and humans while Ellie Mae worked on her listening skills and being able to be off leash without running off. I can now say that we can walk both of them without a leash, and if they do have a leash on, they are not constantly pulling. Prior to this it was next to impossible for me to walk Ellie Mae because of how bad she pulled me and how strong she is. I am a much happier dog-mom as a result of this training and I am glad that I can enjoy taking her places out in public with me without it being such a constant stressful situation. I highly recommend the Jacksonville Dog Wizard to anyone looking for an awesome trainer who will treat and care for your dog just as much as you do! Thanks for all you did Katie!!!
Before Katie took my dog, Merlin in for her program, he was out of control. He misbehaved, didn’t listen and was not house broken. I was convinced nothing would help. Katie reassured me because she said she had experience with Merlin’s breed before (miniature Australian Shepherd) so even though I was very skeptical, I agreed. Merlin went and stayed with Katie for two weeks and we got daily updates that included videos and pictures which eased my mind. I was impressed by what I saw but still wasn’t completely convinced. The day Merlin came home, Katie showed us how to do all the commands and work the eCollar. It took some getting used to but Merlin was a COMPLETELY changed dog! He listens and follows commands like a champ and he is way more behaved for me. He also is now completely house broken which is a huge relief! Since Katie has helped Merlin, my life has been way easier because I now have a dog who listens and isn’t completely out of control. I recommend Katie to everyone! If she can help my dog, she can help any dog! Thank you for everything, Katie!
Molly went to the Dog Wizard needing structure and socialization. I also needed the education on how to best deal with her issues. When she came home she was a different dog, in the best way possible. She is calmer and listens better. When we go for walks, she is not nearly as responsive to the mail truck and the kids playing basket ball as she used to be. We are working the socialization piece still (and probably always will be) but I am so impressed with what Katie has done. Molly is my love, so I am really glad there was someone so willing to work with a rescue Cattle Dog and truly get how her brain works.
